What is Vetiver oil most commonly used for?

Naturopathy uses it as a massage oil, oil bath, or as pads and compresses for wounds, acne and dermatitis, as the organic vetiver oil has skin regenerating properties and relieves itching and other skin irritations.

Mature skin should also be able to benefit from these properties. Creams, oils and massage products in anti-aging care are therefore often enriched with organic vetiver oil in the cosmetics industry. Organic vetiver oil is also used for firming lotions in anti-cellulite products. In this way stretch marks would be visually reduced. Organic vetiver oil in small quantities is suitable as a fixative for perfumes because of its strong smell.

The organic vetiver oil is food grade. However, due to its earthy smell, it is rarely used. 

In aromatherapy, the essential oil of the vetiver roots is said to symbolically restore grounding and tranquility. Mental exhaustion with concomitant restlessness is combated. Incidentally, the organic vetiver oil is also an aphrodisiac and should strengthen the libido again.

It goes well with organic bergamot oil, organic orange oil, organic sandalwood oil, organic ylang ylang oil or with organic lemon oil.
