What is Thyme oil most commonly used for?
In the pharmaceutical sector (in phytotherapy) it is mainly used for diseases of the upper respiratory tract. Examples of applications in this case are additives in rubs or oil baths. This anti-infective effect is mainly attributed to the two ingredients responsible for the red color. Organic thyme oil is also said to relieve pain and spasms, making it a remedy for muscle tension or injuries.
The masking effect of organic thyme oil is important for the cosmetics industry. The fragrance covers unpleasant odors in perfumes, creams or shampoos. In addition to being used as an opaque perfume, the fragrance itself is also a pleasant enrichment. As a fragrance component, it creates a herbaceous and spicy aroma in cologne or soap. This aroma is also appreciated in oral hygiene products such as mouthwash and toothpaste.
The food industry likes to use organic thyme oil instead of the dried version for Mediterranean dishes, which are so delicious to keep summer in mind: as a marinade, dressing, in soups or baked goods.
In aromatherapy, the organic thyme oil is said to calm and revitalize the mind. Sleep disturbances and exhaustion must come to an end.
Organic thyme oil goes well with eucalyptus oil, lavender oil, mandarin oil, orange oil, peppermint oil, rosemary oil, sandalwood oil, ylang ylang oil, cinnamon oil or lemon oil.
