What is Peppermint oil most commonly used for?
The organic peppermint oil is said to work very well in the fight against bacteria, viruses and fungi and is therefore used for infections such as herpes, minor wounds and digestive problems. Nausea and vomiting can also be counteracted with the organic peppermint oil. The fresh scent is said to provide relief from tension headaches and alleviate the debilitating effects of this pain. In combination with a carrier oil (for example, our almond or canola oil), the organic peppermint oil should help massage the temples.
The classic of the many uses of organic peppermint oil is the cold season. A relaxing cold bath should calm the restless body. Similarly, inhalation with fragrance blends made from organic peppermint oil should loosen the trapped mucus in the nasal area.
In the cosmetics industry, organic peppermint oil is mainly used to perfume care products such as toothpaste, soap or toiletries to underline the common association with purity. The cosmetics industry can use the cooling effect of organic peppermint oil in refreshing sprays, sports showers or in after-sun products. In the hot summer, a spray of organic peppermint oil brings tired, swollen feet back to life.
Chewing gum is probably the best-known use for peppermint in the food industry, but confectionery and (alcoholic) drinks can also be flavored in small doses with organic peppermint oil.
Aromatherapy also benefits from the pure, fresh scent of the organic peppermint oil. It should stimulate and dispel negative thoughts and create a pleasant (room) climate for concentration and vitality.
Organic peppermint oil goes well with bergamot oil, lavender oil, mandarin oil, orange oil, rosemary oil, tea tree oil, thyme oil or our lemon oil.
